Hi, I’m Lauren. I started When I Die, Let Me Live back in 2017 as a medical student because I was struck by how hidden and how deeply human conversations around death can be. Now, as a physician in Palliative Care, Geriatrics, and Addiction Medicine, I have the privilege of sitting with people in some of life’s most vulnerable moments.
This show is my way of honoring those conversations.
Each episode invites you into real, personal stories from patients, caregivers, and clinicians about navigating life and finding meaning in the midst of serious illness. If you’re curious, seeking answers, grieving, or just human, there’s something here for you.
This is an independent, self-funded project. If the show moves you, please consider making a donation to help us keep going.
